Topic: Dry Scalp and hair fall

Hello,

I started using the Morroco method 2 months ago; the healthy hair starter pack, I rotate all 5 shampoos and conditioners right now. In the beginning it looked like it was making a difference, my hair started to look healthier and I stopped having dandruff/scalp itching issues. Then in December I got a haircut and for sometime now my dandruff/itchy scalp has come back, my hair has started to feel dry again and I still have hair loss. Should I be changing the amount of shampoo I dilute or using only specific shampoos and conditions or is there a certain combination of shampoo and conditioner I should be using/not using?

Re: Dry Scalp and hair fall

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif My hair is a little frizz prone because it's wavy, but otherwise, it's normal (not too dry, not too oily)...and I don't want to use shampoos/conditioners with all those toxic ingredients any longer. These are some of the recipes that I tried (Homemade):

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Homemade Shampoo Recipe 1:

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif 1 empty shampoo bottle (or plastic jar)
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif 3 cups of soap flakes (found at supermarket in washing detergent area)
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Distilled Water (tap water has chemicals and may turn rancid and slimy)
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Pure Essential Oil of Lavender (good for scalp conditions such as dandruff)
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Pure Essential Oil of Rosemary (will stimulate hair follicles for healthy growth)

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif I prefer to use essential oil as they are highly concentrated. By using the high extracting methods in the process allows the oils to be more concentrated. Using the real herbs from your garden may not contain as many essential ingredients needed. Recipe sources are Masala TV

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Put your soap flakes into your shampoo bottle.
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Pour water in, you can add little or less depending on consistency.
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Add 4 drops of Lavender and 4 drops of Rosemary.
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Put lid on and shake until mixture or soap flakes have dissolved.

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Homemade Shampoo Recipe 2:

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif From your local health food store, ask or locate the natural hair products. I have a large bottle of Envirocare' hair and body cleanser. It is PH neutral, contains no fragrance, has no color and contains no Sodium Laurel Sulphate. I use my own essential oils with this shampoo to create a scented shampoo for mine and my family's hair. It also comes in a conditioner too.

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Although this product is made and available in Australia, contact your local health food store to ask what is available to you.

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Homemade Conditioner Recipe:

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Bowl or plastic jar/container
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif 1 teaspoon baby oil or good quality olive oil
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif 1 egg yolk
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif 1 cup water

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Beat the egg yolk until it forms soft peaks.
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Add oil then begin beating again.
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Add the water to the mixture.
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Massage into hair and into your scalp, leave for a few minutes then rinse off.

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Other Conditioner Recipes:

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif You could also try plain mayonnaise from your pantry.
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Honey
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Coconut Milk and Mashed Avocado

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Whichever recipe you choose to try first, remember that in the long run your hair and body will thank you for using the more natural and safer alternatives.

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif If you don't like some of the scent created or suggested above in the recipes, why not try adding a couple of drops of your favorite perfume to your mixtures.
Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Your scent will become naturally imbibed in your hair, and one small whip of your tresses will have a lovely scent for all to smell.

Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif Hope I helped!

use proper remedies for hair fall and dry hair.

Re: Dry Scalp and hair fall

Hello @smokin_doc I would suggest that you dilute the shampoo because this is probably stripping your hair of all of its natural oils and elements. Because you cut your hair, you will not need as much as before. Give that a shot and let me know if it reflects in any way or form on your hair growth/itch and dry scalp.
