Topic: protein shake

MM Folks,
Since everyone here is health conscious, I thought to pose this question in the hope of an answer.  I've recently turned out to be iron defficient despite good nutrition.  I know molasses is a good source of iron but I have to take supplements anyway.  In light of that and the fact that my physical activity (I work out every day) probably exceeds my protein intake, I am searching for a good protein powder to use as a shake or smoothie. Any recommendations as to good brands and where I can get them would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: protein shake

Hello Hengam,

Here is a product that you might want to try called, "Whey Healthier."  This is a protein meal shake that I think you will find not only nutritious but also not bad tasting.  I originally discovered this shake on Dr. Mercola website. The product doesn't contain: fish, shellfish, peanuts tree nuts, egg, soy protein, wheat, gluten, artificial colors or flavors for preservatives.  Now, whey protein is a derivative of milk so, you may want to to be a little cautious if you have any type of lactose intolerance.  I am sensitive to milk and so far I haven't had any problems. Hope this helps!

Re: protein shake

First choice: Naturade Vegetable Protein Powder
Second choice: Nutiva Hemp Protein Powder

Re: protein shake

Thanks both.
I just got Designer brand and it does taste good and does not seem to contain much junk either. I'll try one of those options, when i'm through this one.
