Topic: Feeling Discuraged

I have been using MM for 5 weeks now and my hair feels disgusting, sticky, and super oily every day. I have to either wear a hat or pull my hair back in a bun which gives me a headache. I've been doing the zen detox once a week and that makes my hair feel a little better but it is still oily. I brush my hair with a boar bristle brush and use the scalp massager once to twice a day. I have been washing every other day. I wash twice and dilute the shampoo with water before using it. I want these products to work so bad but I don't know if I can last through 6 months of this. It also doesn't help that I don't know any one who uses MM and they all look at me like I'm crazy when I try to explain my healthy hair journey. I need some encouragement I'm having a really hard time seeing the light at the end of this tunnel. However I am stubborn and refuse to let these last 5 weeks be a waist.

I do have a few questions I did just read today about rinsing with apple cider vinegar after the second shampooing so I'm going to give that a try next time. Do You have to rinse MM shampoo with cool water? I've been rinsing in warm water. Also I work in a pottery shop as a decorator (I glaze/paint pottery) I know this is an odd question but I am surrounded by glaze and dust from the glazes 8 hours a day. Would that have any effect on the detox?

Any advice or encouragement will be very appreciated!

Re: Feeling Discuraged

I would recommend doing your final rinse with MM with cool water to close the hair cuticles.  You are definitely going through detox.  Just hang in there.  I would recommend using cornstarch as a dry shampoo to soak up some oils in between washes.  Make sure you are staying away from conditioners for now.  Yes, that will definitely affect your detox.  It will add debris in the hair, which will prolong your detox.  You will still finish the detox, it may just be longer than some peoples.  Do the apple cider vinegar rinse to get rid of extra build-up and oils on the hair and scalp.
