Topic: Ideas for type of haircut with using blunt snip technique

I have quite a bit of hair. Mid back length and not thick in strand texture but lots of hair. Blunt snipping without thinning it with layers, razoring or a thinning technique makes it heavy and just unattractive. Any suggestions?

I would recommend cutting layers, that will be the least problematic of those options.  Don't use razors or thinning shears.

Thanks!

Re: Ideas for type of haircut with using blunt snip technique

Would that be blunt snipping in some layers?  I know there are various methods of cutting layers into your hair. Is blunt snipping the only way that is suggested by Anthony for healthy hair? I understand how other ways can create split ends.  I'm not a hair dresser or stylist by any means but I would think that the blunt snip technique has quite a few drawbacks in layered styles as well as creating different styles. Making the hair look choppy and very uniformed. Could you suggest another method for layers as well as U or V shaped length. Or is this a big NO NO? Is having different lengths of hair a NO NO? Does this go against the 5 elements? If so could you explain why hair should be all one length? Is one length hair suggested for thickness purposes? As I said before I have a lot of hair and would actually prefer it be thinned out a little bit.
THANKS!

Also wondering what would be the best way to trim those layers as they are probably more damaged because of the cutting technique. Getting to those sections of hair without completely hacking my whole hair! I followed the blunt snip cutting your own hair how to video. Does Anthony have any suggestions or links on cutting already layered hair?

Re: Ideas for type of haircut with using blunt snip technique

I can't really suggest a way to cut the layers because it is really against what our company believes in.  Cutting layers thins the hair, creates more room for split ends and breakage, and disrupts the natural chi energy from your hair.  Anthony recommends letting the layers grow and not cutting them until they are the same length as the rest of your hair.  He strongly suggests not cutting layers whatsoever because it can be so damaging to the hair.

Thanks. Is there any more info on chi energy of the hair?
