Topic: After first wash my BROWN hair around face is orangey. HELP!
Wondering if I can get some advice from the support forum, henna users and MM support team.
I hennaed my hair for the first time last week. I have been using MM products exclusively since December. I used 2 packets of Medium Brown due to my long mid back hair. 12 hours after application I really liked the result. It was a little lighter at the top of my head verses the bottom but it was okay. After the first washing, the hair surrounding my face turned red/orangey and brassy. After second wash the color started to change a bit all over with more noticeable red tones. Prior to application my hair was quite a few different colors due to a really bad hair experience a few years ago I am having trouble including pictures. Guidance on that would be appreciated also. My hair is light/medium brown with natural highlights and somewhat bleached ends. I am shooting for a medium/dark brown color.
My question is if I decide to do a 2nd henna application, should I henna my whole head or just certain areas that have the yucky discoloration? And what color should I use for second application? I would like more of a uniform color if possible. I do not want to go any darker than I already am. I am very pale and do not want to look washed out, and it would look unnatural. The new darker color actually matches my eyebrows more, which I like. With henna is it possible to get a uniform color? Because my hair is a few different colors and botched. What is the best thing for me to do? Spot treat? Color whole head?
Also when I curl my hair or brush it, (have my hands on it in general) I get black tinted hands. Which is the Henna releasing on my hands. I also have it under my fingernails constantly. Which looks pretty gross. How long will this go on for? Does it just continue to deposit until it completely washes out?
Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you so much!!
