Topic: What to do when you can't afford henna?

Re: What to do when you can't afford henna?

Unfortunately there is no way to completely rid the henna from your hair to get it back to gray.  I would recommend doing oil treatments which will help the henna fade a little bit faster.  I completely understand where you are coming from as I let my roots grow all the way out until I finally chopped the ends off.  It is super frustrating, but this too shall pass!  With henna you cannot lighten the hair with chemicals because it will turn your hair green.  Once it is this green color it is near impossible to get rid of.  I am so sorry for your dilemma and I completely understand where you are coming from as I had to go through the same annoying process!!

Some local Indian food stores sell Henna, Indigo, ect for a very cheap price. You can follow instructions and mix to achieve brown on your own. Just make sure to read ingredient list and such things to make sure the product is pure and natural. nomicons/smile
